What plantu is

A gardening app for Bonaire. It keeps your garden, works out how much water each plant wants, and tells you what grows well here. It is guidance from measured data and honest estimates — not a guarantee about any particular plant, season or harvest.

What it is not

plantu does not give agricultural, medical, veterinary or safety advice. Some plants are toxic to people or animals, and plantu is not the authority on that. Do not eat, treat or sell anything on the strength of an identification or a description in the app. Check with someone qualified.

plantu Pro

• Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm.
• It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and a free trial becomes paid when it ends.
• Manage or cancel it in the App Store, under your Apple ID — the app cannot do it for you, and neither can we.
• Refunds are Apple's to give, through reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Prices may change. If they do, you are told before a renewal at the new price.

Your garden is yours

What you put in plantu belongs to you. If you sign in, a copy is kept on our servers so it survives a lost phone; you can delete it, and the account with it, from Settings → Account → Delete account. See the privacy policy for what is stored and for how long.

Fair use

Don't use plantu to break the law, don't try to take it apart to get at the services behind it, and don't hammer the identification endpoint. The daily limit on identifications is what keeps it running for everybody.

Ads

The free version carries occasional ads, which are what pay for it. The ads come from third-party networks, so we do not choose each one — if you see something inappropriate, report it from Settings → Report an ad and it will be looked at.

Availability

plantu works offline by design, but the parts that need a server — sign-in, sync, plant identification — can be unavailable, and the app is provided as it is, without a promise of uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using the app; nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited.

Changes and ending

These terms can change; the date above changes with them, and continuing to use the app means accepting the new version. You can stop at any time by deleting the app.

Which law

The law of the Netherlands applies, and the courts of the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire) have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to your own courts.
